- The 2019 Education Cannot Wait (ECW) Multi-Year Resilience Program (MYRP) will target the most vulnerable emergency-affected populations in Somaliland, with a particular focus on hard to reach communities, pastoralist, agro-pastoralist and urban poor and displaced populations with a focus of improving gender balance.
- The goal of MYRP Programme is to address equitable access to quality education services and improved learning opportunities in safe and protective environment. This is grounded on two key result areas:
- Increased access to education opportunities
- Improving quality of learning or learning achievement of children
Through the Programme efforts will be made to create equitable access to quality education services and improved learning opportunities in safe and protective environment. This will be achieved if the strategic medium-level pillars and proposed interventions are attained. The interventions will improve equitable access and retention, improved quality of learning, improved gender equality and inclusion, system strengthening and protection. The MYRP links humanitarian Education in Emergencies (EiE) programming with the mid to longer-term development objectives for the sector
- Take Home Dry Ration
2500 children from 14 schools received 12.5 kg rice, 12.5 kg flour, and 3 liters of oil each. After the first quarter; this activity due to COVID-19 it been merged with take home dry rations.
